Toy kite, polyester satin, lace

This piece was created for the group exhibit "The Courage to Play and Dream" at SVA Flatiron Gallery, June 2023.

We each created a kite as a means of further exploring the ideas of play, dreams, and courage. Inspired by the kite's textile nature, I sewed a series of bows reminscient of a childhood doll's dress, further playing with the ideas of femininity and fantasy that I was exploring in whisperland.
